Praful K. Thakkar, I.A.S. (Retd.) was with the Government of Gujarat, India for more than 30 years. He has worked in various capacities as Collector, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Gujarat in various departments and has retired as the Secretary to the Government of Gujarat.
He has graduated with philosophy as his main subject and is a lover of Indian Culture. He has written a few books in Gujarati on various facets of Indian Culture. He has also written a few Collector’s Guides for numismatic, philatelic and autograph collectors’ fraternity.
He has been an ardent collector and hobbyist of autographs for more than 50 years. For him ‘Hobby is for Health & Hobby is for Happiness’.
To give thematic dimension to the hobby of Autograph collection, he started with this website which represents a thematic Gallery of Indian/World Autographs. This is a unique site as it presents, for the first time, a galaxy of Autographs of Indian/World Celebrities in a very systematic and thematic way.
