Received ‘ACM’s Turing Award’ (the computer science field’s equivalent of Nobel Prize) for 2004 along with Mr. Kahn.
For their ”pioneering work on internetworking, including .. the Internet’s basic communications protocols .. and for inspired leadership in networking.”
Cerf and Kahn, both have been awarded the ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ by President George W. Bush in 2005.
