• Is a Barrister-at-Law from UK.
• Active in Politics since 1968 when he became member of the Communist Party.
• Elected ten times as member in Parliament since 1971 till date.
• Is a distinguished Parliamentarian for about three and half decades and hence he was honoured with the 'Outstanding Parliamentarian Award 1996'.
• Through his initiative the proceedings of the 'zero hour' of Parliament are being telecast live from 5th July, 2004.
